FHRI has responded to national emergencies for many years.
In the 2005 earthquake FHRI was involved in providing relief and temporary shelter assistance in Bagh, Musaffarabad, Rawalakot, Batagram, Mansehra, Bakote, Baffa etc.
In Azad Kashmir and Hazara, Fazaldad Institute has also involved to help with the victims of earthquake. Fazaldad Institute has accepted the responsibility of placing 150 students in hostel in Islamabad and provided them the best education with all the facilities. Expenses of boarding, loading and education are all paid by the Institute.
FHRI itself has collected relief items and financial donations from relative, friends and others willing to donate, in order to respond quickly to the need of IDP’s. In 2009 Fazaldad Institute has supported 200 families each in Swabi,Mardan and Nowshera District according to their need, the family pack enables them to have the basic food items for 3 weeks.
