RPL with collaboration with the Mars Food and Dutch Government implemented an activity of Access to Health for the community. RPL implemented 40 days Access to health programme in rural parts of districts Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Nankana, and Narang. Two different medical camps were conducted in the area, the first was base camp and the other one was a mobile medical camp. Each camp comprised of 4 team members, 2 doctors (one male and one female) one dispenser, and one LHW. On daily basis, 150-190 patients visited in each medical camp. In forty 76 villages visited and total 6,871 patients treated without any barrier. The patients were treated in a very professional manner. The medicines were given free of cost to all the patients.
Another 7 days Access to health program has been started in January 2019 in which we are focusing on Personal Hygiene. An Awareness session on Personal Hygiene and prevention from Hepatitis is being delivered by Senior LHW’s to community women. Also, community women and children are being treated during seven days free medical camp 420 patients in two villages have been treated till now.
